Igor and I love to travel and explore our planet. This year we decided to visit friends and family in Poland for the Holiday. After stops in Łódź, Nowy Sącz, Zakopane and a few other places, we headed to Kraków and Airbnb-ed ourselves in the old part of the city. Kraków is one of the oldest cities in Poland and is quickly becoming one of my favorites.
I love how vibrant and lively the city is. Its extensive cultural heritage mixed with the vibrant energy of a young population makes it intriguing and inviting. It was named European Captial of Culture and recently UNESCO City of Literature.
If you know me well, you know that I don’t care for touristy shit..;) No I didn’t follow the pamphlet or the blog that listed the top 10 places or things to do. Camera in hand, a drone in the bag..haha, a pair of willing and so far capable feet and off I go. Explore, observe, enjoy, soak it all in and capture.
Interesting to know:
– I did my teeth in Kraków. Two crown replacement, cleaning, and whitening. I paid one-third of what I would have paid in Canada..;) The dentist and staff spoke English very well. The service was great.
– It didn’t break the bank account to visit for a few days. Airbnb $30-$50/night in a prime location, food is yummy and affordable. Transportation is accessible and practical.
Here are some images I captured while in Kraków and if you ever get a chance to visit I would say GO!
